Hey here is a list of the top 10 most controversial games of all time. While I'm sure we won't all agree with all there choices I will say this much for them at least they aren't all recent games like some of these top 10 game lists.

Manhunt 2, but not the first? lol Yet, I remember they went crazy over that.

Yeah Resistance had some stank about the church.

Zelda OoT had some Muslim issues, but nobody cares about that ::) (Fire Temple and Link's Mirror Shield)
 
I'm not sure,but the other day I bought "Celebrity Death match".It certainly has mature content,especially the Ron Jeremy character.I'm not sure if his title applies.
 
Well I will say this RE 5 controversyis just a bunch of hot air from PC jack booted thugs who never would play survial horror no matter, while Manhunt 2 had legimate complaints of excessive violence coming from gamers who play violent video games and thought it went to far.

I forgot about Bully, it did cause quite a ruckus back in the day.

I would have put Custer's Revenge somewhere on there. It was AO before the AO rating ever existed.

I don't know Gaming Maiden all allegtions against were it from Jack Thompson and it was pretty much his regular crazy rant, he did file a lawsuite stop the sale of the game but I don't think that is first time he did that either.

You say the American economy is in trouble?What?The "Drug Cartels" are hiring American youth as Hitmen?

I guess that's fine,just as long as "Rockstar Games" doesn't cross the line with a game as appalling as "Bully"! ::)
 
Well guys you will also remember the entire controversy was center around Jack Thompson's baseless accusiation that the game was Columbine shooting simulator this was before the games release and once it was release people found out that Jack Thompson was a lieing and all the controversy was dead.
Jack Thompson was behind the controversy and that man would probably accuse Rockstar of making a game that's breeding mass murders even the title consisted of the player running around in a green pasture petting rabbits and puppies.
 
It wasn't just Jack Thompson, Rockstar had some issues getting it distributed in Australia too. And when the 360 version was made an achievement called something like "over the rainbow" came out for kissing 20 guys, which of course sparked more controversy for the re-release.

Its a really tame game, to be sure, but there was enough controversy surrounding it I think it should be on the list.
