360 sales have gone up by 100% says Bloomberg.

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Bloomberg reported that after the price drop of Xbox 360, the sales of all the models have increased by 100% in North America.

Well, here's the thing peeps. You know that $199.99 Arcade bundle? I think that's doing it or the fact that a 60GB 360 at $299, is doing wonders.

Yet, think about it. The 360 Arcade bundle comes with a game and a memory card. What games? 5 Xbox Live Arcade games, such as: Boom Boom Rocket, Feeding Frenzy, Luxor 2, Pac-Man Championship, and Uno.

Yet, Cheaper than a Wii now. Comes with FULL games (not demos like WiiSports).

Hate to say it, but 360 is lookin' good right now.

I mean, we all agree, $100 more you get the Harddrive. All I'm saying, is the choice is yours.

It's getting so low that I've actually contemplated getting an arcade as a backup if my Elite ever does get the RROD. Personally, I think right now is a great time to be a 360 owner. Already a great library of games and some great ones soon to follow this Fall and Winter.

Holy cow! That's what I was planning on doing, too. :lol Great minds think alike huh? :D

Oh yeah we do! :D

A couple of coworkers have already done it and they also use the extra 360 to travel. They now have one at home and at work. I plan to do that too so that I can play on my breaks.

I'm tellin' ya. My "WHITE" Elite is the sexiest lil baby ever :D

Because, the Arcade units have: Wireless Controllers, HDMI Input, and all the lovely features of a normal black Elite now.

If mine dies, I'm totally taking the exact same route (unless it's under warranty...which it is until December)

Dang! Okay, if Aleeock was here, she could teach you the "Towel" method.

Which is like this....take a normal towel...throw it in the dryer....and wrap it around the 360 (without the harddrive attached to it). Let it sit for a while, the heat of the towel and the static elecriticity from it, cause the 360 to jump start.

How ghetto is that? :lol

Wow that sounds like a recipe for disaster. You generally want to keep static away from electronics, computers, hard drives and the like.

The 360 will eventually die. This would just be a temporary fix.

No more "Red Ring of Death" problems? :-\

Every Console, except the NES (replacing the pin is a snich), SNES, and Atari...those are some durable badboys

I ended up getting an arcade system instead of trying to get it fixed through Microsoft.

The main benefits:
-New system rather than refurbished
-It has the new chip set
-I was able to get a 2 year warranty with it (instead of just 90 days through Microsoft)
-Since it's a newer system, it has the HDMI input

And I like that the disc tray is white rather than chrome. It actually goes a lot better with my Eternal Sonata faceplate.
