4 Leaf Clover in Animal Crossing?

ok... I just got one pulling up weeds... and I read it is rare.

I don't understand what exactly it is for. I read that it can be put in your hair or your house... and it "acts like a bookmark?"

4-Leaf Clover
If you town becomes covered in weeds there will also be clvoer patches. If you are lucky, you will pull up a four leaf clover. This is pretty rare however, most patches you dig up will not contain the clover. The clover can then be used as an accessory in you character's hair, or if you place it in your house it will act as a bookmark in a book.

They're pretty cool; I've pulled up a couple in my AC:WW lifetime.

As for the "bookmark" thing, place one in your house. It turns into a book with the clover holding a page open.
 
so... does the book do anything good?

Does it give you luck wearing it in your hat? I'd hate to use it just for an HRA boost :)
