The 40gb will cost $400, and is coming November 2nd.  There's also been a price drop on the 80gb, which will be $500.

Wow, the PS3's really close to the 360 in terms of price now.
 
So...there gonna be a 100GB to cover the $600? I might just wait for ANOTHER PS3 so I can get the 80GB for $400.
 
The price cut is offical as of Oct 18th for $499 on the 80GB model now. Seems like I gotta go back to best buy and do a price match..they owe me $100...and it's under 30 days :)
