Well... its not funny... but its actually the law. We learned a few things in my International business course.

The Law of One Price: States that in competitive markets free of transportation costs and barriers to trade (such as tariffs), identical prodicts sold in different countries must sell for the same price when their price is expressed in terms of the same currency.
Source: Global Business Today, By: Charles W. L. Hill. Chapter 8, PG 295.

So, the US / Canadian...etc... price is proportional to the strength of the currency (IE what its worth in that country). So legally... Nintendo / Sony has to make their prices that way anyway :)

I found it amusing I guess.

I know we were all joking on it anyway..... kind- of interesting to see how it all works out.

Wasn't this understood before anyway? I don't mean that in a prickish way, but I always assumed everyone knew that, or were you just stating the specific clause that states that in legal terms?

Yeah... I was just stating the specific legal terms :)
.... that basically there is a law that makes it happen like that. :lol
I don't know.. I found it a bit interesting. Even though it happens... I figured they could set some dollar amount to what they thought.
You know how easily companies could get screwed due to currency fluctuations?

It wasn't meant to be rude... shove info at anyone.... or prove anyone wrong.  Hopefully no one took it as such. 0:)

prickish?   Is that a stealthism?  :huh :D
