Hell Scyth
Rock Hard, Dead or Alive
... which I've actually made for... actually... I better add this in a spoiler... just in case the misses is watching... NO LOOKY FOR YOU UNTIL SATURDAY ARVO!!!
Happy little tale to how this was spawned...
It started with me being bored, so I decided that I'd start on something early and make a photo frame for the misses. So I went on a EPIC QUEST to find the stuff needed to do so.
Down the bottom I found a plank of wood I could use. All I needed was a saw... after 20 minutes of looking, half of it spent rummaging through the very dusty an cob-webed junk filled garage and I had no luck... So I decided to move to another plan... that was dubbed, "Plan something other than what i was originally intending on doing"... then I found the saw out in the courtyard hidden behind some other crap... ... ... figures... ... back to Plan A!!!
I took me trusty (and rather rusty) saw to hack up the plank... after a good ten minutes of struggling,I barely got through one inch of the centre meter thick, 10 centre meter wide wood... what a load of helpfulness that saw was!!! Anyway, I decided to go back to the drawing boards... which consisted of me grabbing a packet of chips and going to my room to watch some TV.
It was t that time i noticed a large piece of ply-wood (though I think it's actually called Balsa wood... oh well) sitting behind my G-tar!!!!! (that I never play anymore because I wanna learn Violin and Drums).
It took a few cycles before I realised that it could be used to fashion into my Plan A, and that Plan's B through K could now be scrapped... and good thing too since they were all too over elaborate and required a lot of bottle caps!!?!?!
So, I look for the file I hunted previously, along with various other tools (heheh, I said tools), but to no avail... sooo... I go out side and start. Saw, awkwardly, a chunk from the wood to use, take it in, sketch a heart shape onto it, then take it outside, knowing that I would require absolute precision and skill to fashion the correct shape from the wood using a very crap saw (if I had a Jewellers Saw, it would be SO easy). With a steady arm, and a keen gaze, I breathed in, then relaxed with a calm exhale... followed by a series of hacking motions.
I hacked away at the wood, breaking apart the heart shape I required, and only sawing occasionally. Then, when I was done, I sawed a little to fix some edges, then picked away the pieces that jutted, and used the rock I sat upon to smooth. The first stage of my creation was complete!!
The rest isn't so interesting, so I'll keep it quick.
... cut, epoxy, cut, epoxy, cut, epoxy, cut, fold, epoxy, cut, fold, epoxy, rinse, repeat, dry, print, cut, epoxy, scribble on back, colour around edges, take photo, initialise phase three-hundred and forty two... point eight... wait until Saturday, brooding in my room diabolically when I unleash my master piece on the unweary Miss Scyth... though, after reading the topic title (if she has) she's probably curious, AND A VERY BAD GIRL if you read this!!! All others, thank you for taking the time to read about how much a wacky chap I am when it comes to arts and crafts.
