An unhappy 4/20 to you all.

As you may already know, today is the national weed day, otherwise known as 4/20. As I've said before, I hate drugs in all of its shapes and forms, so today was not a good day for me. Honestly, I think that there were so many drugs at school today that even I thinkthat I got high off of something (Unintentionaly of course). Why must drugs be such a big part of the community nowadays? whats so great about them anyway? The only thing I've seen drugs do is rip families and friends apart. They're nothing but bad, yet people at our school (Age 12-14 non the less) are taking them! It makes me sick and unhappy to live in this community. Does anyone else share my feelings?
 
I completely agree that drugs have not place in school. I'm surprised you posted about 4/20 on here. I went to a middle - upper class school and I guess we probably had as many drugs as any other school. One of my friends was dumb enough to bring blotter paper to school (acid). He had it stashed in a pen and was showing it off to people lol. Guess he was selling them for attention. Always listening to Goa Trance and stuff. :-\

That's not the most sad part about 4/20. It's the anniversary of Columbine. It's been 9 years already.

people who abuse any drugs, especially weed, are lowlifes and have no place in our community.

Yeah, good job on this thread. I have no respect for anyone who does drugs. There's just no room for it. 4/20 is a pathetic made up holiday too.
 
theres plenty of ways to "get high" without "getting high"

playing halo, hanging out w/ freinds, going to to the movies, just anything!

no matter what anyone says, there is no excuse for doing drugs, and you can always find something better to do.

Anyone else find it strange that more people recognize this as weed day than the anniversary of Columbine?

smoking is alot worse for you than doing weed or pot or whatever bcuz all pot does is get you hungry and sleepy

Smoking causes lung cancer,mouth cancer,cancer more cancer and so many cancer i cant think how many cancer

so why is pot illegal

There are a lot of theories on this one and I could not begin to start a debate about it.

Because it also causes cancer. I have to sit through those stupid anti-drug programs (I know drugs are bad. Why do they have to tell me 50,000 times?) and they say Marijuana can cause cancer. It usually doesn't because people don't smoke NEARLY enough pot to give them cancer very quickly and a lot of people who smoke weed also smoke cigarettes so any cancer they get is attributed to tobacco.

Well there are tons of things that are not good for you that are legal. That is not the real reason it is illegal.

B) Racist reasons

Racist reasons? I understand political and industrial reasons but I don't see what banning Marijuana as to do with racism. To put it in perspective, I live in a town that's 80% high income white people and over half the high school (or so my brother tells me) has smoked or smokes pot.

Well... There are psycholigical reasons too... I am not getting into this debate though.

generally... it's best to stay away from drugs & smoking. Alcohol as well. In fact, stay away from soda pop and drink more water, jiuce, and milk.
there are a lot of things bad for you. Just because it doesn't constitute to deaths in these figures does not make it good for you.
