Any Thoughts On The New "Mortal Kombat"?

I think it looks pretty good actually.

They've gone back to the roots of the franchise and added in some sweet characters and things. I don't expect it to be a great game when I sit down to play it, but I think they're going in the right direction with the series for the first time in a long time.

My coworker, who is a big DC fan, has been playing it for the past few weeks. I have to admit, once I saw all the fatalities I no longer really care to play the game.

Haha, that's a good point actually. I thought about Youtubing all the fatalities in the game, but decided that I wanted to discover them for myself once I actually got to play the game.

But now your comments make me feel like I should save myself some time and money and just head on over to Youtube.

It's worth a rental and trying them out yourself. I wouldn't purchase it just for that. The game hasn't really changed since the last one, but the novelty of playing as the DC characters wears off rather quickly.

Thought so. There is only one series of fighters that can do crossovers well and that my friends is Marvel vs. Capcom.

Haha, for some reason when I think of abysmal crossovers I always think of Star Fox Adventures. I would say Rareware did an excellent crossover of lovable characters and interesting settings with terrible gameplay and cookie-cutter adventure game design. :lol
