Anyone have Wii Remote reception troubles?

I can't seem to get beyond 10 feet from my TV... and then it gets a little jumpy.

Anyone else have these problems? IF so... have you been able to come up with a fix for it?

Between three and ten feet is the recommended distance. Anything beyond that is iffy. Not to mention, florescent lights can cause problems, which include certain lightbulbs and candles and stuff.

Yes, candles. In fact, throw up two candles on your TV, ditch the sensor bar, and you can continue to play your Wii.

say what?

You can use your Wii without the sensor bar for a few games anyway...

But ... you are telling me that candles hurt the performance? or do they help? :lol

They hurt. The candles send out infrared lights just like the sensor bar, so that's what confuses the Wii. In the same way, they can be a replacement for the sensor bar if it gets lost or damaged. Multiple infrared things confuse the crap out of the Wii. The sensor bar only sends out infrared beams, once it triangulates the Wiimote location, the Wiimote Bluetooth sends it back to the Wii, showing the position on the screen. So check which things around your Wii send out the beams.

Alright first off the basics...

Does the Sensor Bar that have direct vision with the Wii Remote?
Do your Wii Sensor Bar settings correctly reflect where your Sensor Bar is located? ie. Above or Below the TV?
Does it happen with all Wii Remotes?

The usual cause is just the sensor bar being blocked slightly.
