Anyone hear from Knoxville, TN? See inside!

My wife and I are going there this weekend and since we are from South FL, I am not use to the cold anymore (formerly from NJ, NC, and Nebraska). Anyway, what is the weather like there now and for this weekend? The internet and news say one thing, but I do not trust them and like to hear it from people who live there. We are going up to look at property and investments. Thanks in advance!

I'm about 6 hours from Tennessee, and judging from the weather we've been getting it's gonna be cold. In fact, this thursday it's supposed to dump a bunch of snow/freezing rain from central Tennessee to Eastern North Carolina.

Thanks. I guess I will have to look through the attic for gloves and all. Luckily I still have my Huskers 1994 - 1995 Back-to-Back National Championship Leather Jacket :D to keep me warm. Any info I can get is of great help. I do not trust the weather channel!

I'm from Memphis and it's been getting cold over here so I imagine that it's relatively the same over there

What's happening is a stream of low pressure is sweeping down from the north, through the southwest and into the southeast, causing temps to drop into the low 30s and high 20s. But as it's sweeping by the southwest, it is also drawing moisture up out of the Gulf of Mexico, increasing our chances of a wintery mix of snow and rain in thourgh Thursday, and maybe later in some areas. In short, it will be damn cold for thos unfortunate souls in the Tennessee and Carolina areas. back to you Bob.

While eating some gut rot from Taco Bell yesterday, this is what the TV news guy said to me. :D

Great, so I am going ot be freezing and maybe stuck in a snow storm. I should have waited until May for this trip.

Well, the latest weather report says that the snow storm may hit the Raleigh area at about 1 tomorrow morning instead of the 6-7 A.M time slot. So most likely it will all be gone by the time you get there. But it will be colder than a well digger's you-know-what.

Well, it was 29 at night and around 41 during the day. I love the properties we looked at and it almost makes me think of not just investing, but moving up there. A very nice area and I miss the mountains!

Yeah, I loved driving through Tennessee when I moved to North Carolina. Full of color and whatnot because I drove during the fall.
