Are They Insulting Our Intelligence?

I was watching "Independence Day" and it got me to thinking...just how stupid does the government think people are?

I mean,movies aside I honestly believe there is something of an extraterrestrial nature goin' on down in Area 51.If not,what the heck are they trying to hide from us?The stupid reasons they give us are a flat out insult to our intelligence.What gives them the right to hide this from us,we as humans have the right to know what's going on in OUR world

Some say it's better if we don't know,but in my opinion that's bull.What are your thoughts?

I think it's far more likely that these things are made by the government. Probably experimental aircraft or something like that, and it really wouldn't make sense to announce to the world military advances they have made.

Yeah, I agree with Cherry. I don't disbelieve in aliens, but if they were going to do something major they probably would have done it already.
 
I do believe in aliens, but I don't believe the government has any to experiment on. I believe the Area 51 has always been a testing facility for experimental military aircraft, nothing more.

Also, Area 51 isn't a secret facility anymore.
 
I don't know......there are some things that the government does that we're probably better off not knowing. It would probably cause some sort of an uproar. They can keep that stuff to themselves.
 
Yeah, I mean, seriously, aliens do probably exist somewhere that we won't ever know about, but dang. Why do they have to so much more technologically advanced than us? What if aliens existed but didn't know about Earth?
