Attack Canceling

In SSBB, is it possible to cancel an attack with another attack. As in, start an attack, stop in the middle, and go straight to another attack? I'm trying to solve a dispute.

nope it's not possible.

Actually there is one, maybe but I know of one. It's called Snake-Dashing. You dash attack with Snake, you have to hit the opponent but some have done it without, and you cancel it with the up-smash. It's quite advanced and hard to pull off.

Here's a video of it being pulled off. Apparently you can do it with Falco as well.

well i guess that makes it a yes XD but only very especific characters.
 
Well, actually, that is dash canceling. I'm talking about canceling an attack with another attack. Thanks for the help, though.
