Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
The Anthony-Thomas Candy Company is recalling packages of filled Easter eggs candies that may contain undeclared egg whites and the food colorings yellow Number 5 and yellow Number 6.

The Columbus, Ohio, company is recalling six- and 12-ounce packages of the candy eggs filled with coconut cream, peanut butter, butter cream, fruit and nut, chocolate fudge, chocolate fudge pecan, and maple walnut fudge.

They bear production code numbers 6027 through 6083.

They are sold in a cardboard package with a clear cellophane top panel.

They were distributed through retail stores between Jan. 27 and March 27 in Texas and 13 other states.

Egg whites are an ingredient in the decorative flowers on the products.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs could have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the candies.

The company said no illnesses have been reported.

Customers who bought the candies may return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Those with questions may contact the company at 1-877-226-3921.

Just make sure your Easter candy is NOT from the Anthony-Thomas Candy Company.

I have young cousins, so I already reported this to my Aunt, I'm sure most of you have little brothers/sisters or kids of your own. So please watch out.

right, don't get candy

:lol

But seriously, what's wrong with them? Is it just a warning for people who are allergic to egg whites?

I've never even heard of people being allergic to egg whites before, but I have known a person who was allergic to grain...

Salminilla and E Coli. When eggs are not pasturized (like when they are used in mass produced junk food) and they sit out, they will get nasty lil germies in them. They will cause anything from the stomach flu to the nasty number 3, if ya know what I mean...

Damn, thank you Dr. Dart for a detail answer :) Seriously, Im impressed! I did not know it could cause that!

Ok, now I get it. I was like, what's so bad about eggs, I eat them all the time... :lol

I do have one more question though, what's "nasty number 3"?

Yes. Good ole number three can ruin your day. It can ruin your whole week even.

I worked at a shop where half the crew came in on a Sunday to clean the store (We are closed on Sundays). They all bought burritos from a place called Nico's. They all had one common ingredient. Eggs. Monday morning came and there were only 5 of us to open when we should have had 13. They all were at home on the can. One landed in the hospital. One came to work and managed to hang for a while before having to leave to get a change of pants. If ya know what I mean.

So, what have we learned today children?? Don't eat anything with eggs that have been sitting out all afternoon next to a burner. :D
