The Anthony-Thomas Candy Company is recalling packages of filled Easter eggs candies that may contain undeclared egg whites and the food colorings yellow Number 5 and yellow Number 6.
The Columbus, Ohio, company is recalling six- and 12-ounce packages of the candy eggs filled with coconut cream, peanut butter, butter cream, fruit and nut, chocolate fudge, chocolate fudge pecan, and maple walnut fudge.
They bear production code numbers 6027 through 6083.
They are sold in a cardboard package with a clear cellophane top panel.
They were distributed through retail stores between Jan. 27 and March 27 in Texas and 13 other states.
Egg whites are an ingredient in the decorative flowers on the products.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs could have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the candies.
The company said no illnesses have been reported.
Customers who bought the candies may return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
