I just want to make it clear that baiting and trolling will not be tolerated. Do not call people out in your comments. Take the high road and just keep to the topic at hand. Otherwise it will just lead to trouble and disciplinary action will be enforced. We are here to discuss video games.....Video Games which are supposed to be fun. Which is what this board is about.

If anybody baits and/or trolls they will be Temporarily banned at our discretion. It's usually a week but it can be more, even perma banned.

So please, let's keep this place fun and stop all the childishness. Thank you.

It's time to start discussions / discussing without having to bicker. disagreements are going to happen... but people don't have to be childish about it.

It's never too late. We plan to keep this board going for as long as possible. So this can be future reference.

I have a question. Suppose someone says something, and then drops it, and the offended party sends the guy who said somehing a PM full of threats?? What happens then??

Obviously I have said things that for the most part were intended as jokes, but someone here has gotten offended about it. I'm not sure if I should apologize because my motives were not negative...
 
According to the rules:

10.) THERE WILL BE NO HARASSING OF ANY KIND VIA PM.  No downgrading comments, slandering, etc.  THIS WILL BE PUNISHABLE.  Furthermore what you say about a person in writing can be held against you and in some cases can be illegal.  Appropriate action will be taken if this happens.

Either try to fix it yourself, or simply let one of the mods know what is going on and we'll get the problem fixed.

Harrassment is no fun. I prefer mutually accepted verbal sparring.. rather than PM harrassment.

I do too. But sometimes it's better to be silent and be thought of as wise, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

You know... There is a line of joking, trying to stir up some stuff.... and then there is the line of taking it too far, and threatening..... flaming..etc.

To all of you... don't take things so seriously.  It's an INTERNET FORUM... yes, we all have opinions we don't want crossed... but here is the deal... if you don't want your opinions questioned or responded to... DON'T POST YOUR VIEWPOINTS.   I think for the most part people handle the situations very well. If someone else can't handle it... it might just be best to leave them alone.

What occurs when you cross the path of an opinion with responses not withheld? In other words, a communication that welcomes other responses. To what degree does it become your responsibility to play god there? As you deem necessary, I imagine? Yes?

I farted in your general direction.

I guess my ability to play god on this server is brought by the fact that I pay for the server, all services, taxes for the business, and... the corporation I own, which is recognized as such by the state of Indiana. I guess this so called "god" status can also be referred to as a business owner... and someone that has a financial responsibility to this site that gets ruined by snot nose dribblings... those that cannot deal with a "privately" held website, which most aspects are offered free of charge, should hit the logout button and not return.

When someone gets threatened... it becomes a problem. No matter how severe. This is the point we are at.

I am all for open (MATURE) communication. People should be able to discuss... which is the purpose of the message boards. Heck... I am all for respectful arguments / disagreements. It's fun... and it brings more posts and views. This place will not get like another board I used to go to... it has been overrun by what is being killed off here.

Not to mention that we are discussing Video Games!! Not political agendas, not religion, not about people's lives. Just simple video games. There is absolutely no reason for any of this to happen in such a board.
