Thanks guys.
The tournament started yesterday with round 1.Much to my chagrin,after 4 hours I hung a Rook and lost.My opponent played very solid.What can I say.Suck it up and get ready for the next round.
 
i HATE it when my rook gets hung!!!

just joking, sucks man.

the extent of my chess knowledge is the fact that you can play chess and checkers on the same board.

One thing a loss can do is make it all the more sweet to scalp a stronger player in the next round.No matter what your into,chess,basketball,or hockey.If you let your loss and the disappointment that comes with it, carry over to your next game,it will affect your play.Michael Jordan said something to that effect several years ago,and I never forgot it.It should be noted that he was talking about ball,but it rings true in almost any challenge.

i can agree..

im an avid gun enthusiast and right now the things im struggling with is getting a very tight group and being consistent at it day to day.

ill be at the range 7yds away from the target. ill shoot a flyer (bullet that for some reason strays from the group) and ill get down on myself. if i continue to dwell on it, chances are my next shot is about 4-6 inches away from the group again!!

i know how it goes!
