Big Bang Mini is a shooter where the projectiles are all fireworks and you spend about as much time dodging in the lower screen as you do making pretty things happen in the upper screen. There are 90 levels in the game - boss fights included - and a slew of extras to unlock. At $19.99, that's a significant bang for your buck in this economy.

Hey, it sounds like Geometry Wars..

One of the most addictive DS games I've played in a while, though it's not without its faults.

Geo Wars Galaxies is still a superior game; it's just that I've reached a point in it where I can't beat any of my high scores anymore.

That said, I do not regret buying Big Bang Mini, because the sheer variety, awesome-looking (yet all too easy) boss battles, and corny sense of humor (hell, read the manual, it's hilarious) are worth the entry fee alone.

Just got this. I'll play it tonight and post up thoughts tomorrow.
