Blizzard, why have you forsaken us?! (Starcraft II pushed back again!)

Apparently, Starcraft II might be pushed into 2010 instead of being released in the fourth quarter of 2009.

I think the excitement over Starcraft II is losing its steam. *wink* get it?

But really, with the news that LAN support is going to be nixed, online play is either going to be ad supported or USER supported (i.e. pay for play). With the massive disappointment that Warcraft III was, and the Diablo II patches have been, I am getting less and less likely to spend my money with Blizzard.

WCIII was hardly a disappointment. It's been supported by the users for how long now and it's still one of the biggest competitively played games to date.

I meant that completely subjectively. It was a disappointment to ME.

I bought it as a sequel to Warcraft II and Starcraft expecting a real time strategy game. I was disappointed by the complete focus being on leveling "hero" characters instead of building armies.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed with Warcraft 3 as well.

warcraft 1 and 2 both were really good games. Warcraft 3 went in a direction in which I didn't agree with. but that is complete subjective. If others liked it... that's cool. I'm just saying I don't :)

However, I am not really looking forward to Starcraft 2 now. I really think it was a bad idea to killl off LAN support. There are only a couple reasons to do this. 1.) To start charging to play online... and 2.) to start charging to play online. I don't see ANY other reason to kill off LAN support for one of the best LAN games ever made... IE Starcraft.

When contacted about the petition, Blizzard declined to comment aside from what it originally stated last month.[/quote]

Declined to comment...As opposed to Valve actually trying to address fans' requests for L4D 2...

I am thinking that Blizzard is going to decline anything that is outside of their plan to make money. BV may, unfortunately, be right about Blizzard possibly trying to lump Starcraft 2 with a WoW subscription fee...
