Burnout 3 comes out for PS2 and XBOX soon! I can't wait! It's going to be so awesome.

Is anyone else getting it?

I hope to get good enough at it to play over XBOX Live and make it on the scoreboard.
 
Wow, we actually get this soon too, I was thinking it wouldn't be out until at least October. 10th September! :woot

I don't know anything about it though, are there any changes to it?
 
I've only really seen pics of it, never pursued anymore. Looks kinda fun, crashing into stuff. Especially when it tracks the feet of side door skidding and sunroof skidding that you've had :D
 
I would of preferred to have it on Gamecube then PS2. I like the Cube for racers because of the controllers simple structure. And of course it would of looked more gorgeous.
 
IGN have said that this is the greatest game of this generation, period. They gave the PS2 version a 9.4 and the XBOX version a 9.5.

Now, I don't always find IGN the most reliable, but with comments like that, i'm gonna go all out and say that Burnout 3 isn't going to be too shabby :D
 
It's Criterion developed and EA published. I believe that Criterion was also behind the first two, so it's not going to be radically different.

I've actually played the demo and man, Burnout 3 is so cool! It's the best arcade racer I think I've ever played, period. The sense of speed is fantastic, and you get points for driving badly and for crashing! What more could I ask for? :D The videos of some of the crashes you can do...man, it looks so insane!

BV...the reason that it's not coming for GC is because it focuses heavily on the online aspect, which I also don't agree with. But maybe if we're lucky, EA will be smart and decide to do what Midway is doing with MK: Deception, and put Burnout 3 on the 'Cube after taking out the online stuff.
 
I think a game like this should be on all platforms. If they have it on 2/3, that's just stupid and makes the people who bought the other system feel left out. Games should either be exclusive or made for everything.
 
the review looks really great so i'll be checking this out for myself and i;m a nut when it comes to car style games anyway.
 
I saw a commercial for it on TV. Looks good enough to rent. Great thing is, I get a free rental with any preorder, and considering I just preordered 3 games, I guess this'll be one of the rentals.
