Vietnam, Trey Arch says. Yet the storyline is still in mystery. So even I'm confused on which direction this game is going.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops coming 11/9/10

And details emerge.

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/02/call-of-duty-black-ops-reveal-trailer-gets-the-gt-pop-block-tre/

various elements in the trailer heavily suggest Vietnam and Cold War themes -- an intercontinental ballistic missile launch, possible Vietcong troops, scientists vacating an exploding Russian complex, and the presence of a UH-1A Huey helicopter (first used in 1962 during the Vietnam War)

Nice!

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops coming 11/9/10

Too soon. The every year pattern of releasing CoD is annoying now... I mean, they are quality games but they are flooding the market.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops coming 11/9/10

They need to spend the next year fixing all the glitches in MW2's multiplayer. It's such a broken experience.

Woot Woot! Nazi zombies was the only good thing about World at War. I hope they focus on OTHER parts of Black Ops though.

PS3 fans can finally rest.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3 DLC out now. 3/3/11)

i think the makers of call of duty are killing the game series by making new ones in such a short time of release date and they dont give people enough time to enjoy the game with other players once the games price comes down and others can play. to be perfectly honest, once a new game like this comes out, the majority of people switch to the newer version. so for those who cant afford to pay $60 for the game but can afford it for $35-$40 are kind of screwed because they have to wait for the price to go down and then the new one comes out and they are screwed over again.

I agree and CoD is notorious for not dropping in price. But it's a smart move in Activision's part because people just give up and pony up the cash to play with everyone else. If there's one thing I learned about the masses, it's that they don't like to feel left out.

i know what you are saying. its a shame that COD hardly ever drop their prices until a newer version comes out. but my point is simply that they need to lower the price at least to $45/$50 within six months

looks like they are coming out with another Call of Duty? wow!!! it doesn't even look that great. the name doesn't even impress me... "First Strike" oh joy. i will stick to Black Ops.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (PC DLC. March 25th)

This game is definitely good, but you seriously have to stay alert and can't stand out in the open unless you're looking to get killed. XD My highest kill streak is 10, so that's nothing to show. Lol.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops (PC DLC. March 25th)

Well this is certainly ... wow. Activision has revealed "Call of the Dead," the previously unnamed Zombies Mode map in the Call of Duty: Black Ops "Escalation" DLC. "Call of the Dead" is no ordinary map, however, as Treyarch is throwing in lots of zombie-related fan service, starting with George Romero. The famed horror director stars as himself in the Zombies episode, alongside the likes of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert "Freddy Kreuger" Englund, Machete's Danny Trejo and Michael Rooker, who plays Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead.

Treyarch's Mark Lamia promises that "Call of the Dead" will provide "an exciting new zombie experience" that "takes Zombies to an insane new level." Check out some sceens in the gallery below and watch a (very Robert Rodriguez) trailer after the break. Oh, and we call dibs on Danny!

Call of the Dead? that's gonna be a tough one to overcome... i think they should stick to man-to-man combat not man-to-living dead modes.
