Can anyone confirm this rumor? Xbox 360 price $150 in Japan?

supposively retailers slashed the price to $150.... I cannot find proof though, I read it at another site.

Anyway, if you know, please post it up.

sorry if this makes you mad spartan... I just want someone to verify that....  it would be crazy if true... as $150 is really cheap (wonder if they can be modded to play us games :lol ).

Sorry, i didn't read the article yet, so maybe my question would be answered there. But why would they cut the price? Were they that faulty? Or is there some alterior motive here?

Ok, so I read the first article from Gamespot. The whole time those guys were talking, not once did they mention Nintendo as a competitor. What gives? They just kept saying that Sony was a great empire, and now Microsoft is here to tear it down like the Spanish did to the Aztecs. Oh well, maybe Nintendo will come from behind and no one will know what hit them.

Most likely they'd just cut the price to move inventory faster. It has nothing to do with being unable to sell "faulty" merchandise.

I don't even know why Microsoft bothers with Japan. :lol
1) They can't cut it there, they just can't. No matter how hard they try they're not gonna appeal to the Japanese market.
2) They got a good fanbase in America/Europe anyway, may as well just exploit their strengths.
