Can someone teach me about PAL to NTSC signals via RGB?

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
All I have is a TV with normal AV

I have a PAL MegaDrive that is modded with Hz and Region switches, how do I get color on this?

I've seen this on Ebay and wasn't too sure if it would be wise to use

So do you need a converter that sends the signal through RGB cables or do you need one that just sends through regular composite cables (aka RCA, AV)?

Here is something similar to what you posted. It converts pal to ntsc and vice versa through regular AV cables.

Okay the current AV Cable Im using for the model 1 Megadrive has 5 PINs...a buddy of mine says I need 8

Would that do the trick?

Actually you lost me there, I take it PAL tv's use 8 pin AV cables? Ill try my best to help you.

Yes, since he told me that RGB has 8 Pins, so an 8 Pin AV Cable will do the same trick he claims
