Can the DS play GBC and GB games?

Anyone heard yet?

Can the DS play Gameboy Color and original Gameboy games?

I know it can play Gameboy Advance, but I have not read anything on the other 2.

please post up.

Considering that GBA paks can be played, I would assume yes, since the GBA also is backwards compatable with all other GameBoy games.
 
yeah... its odd because I have only been seeing GBA carts able to be played on the DS.


I hope it can play all the ones before (GB, GBC) :)

If it can (I'm gonna assume it will), wouldn't that be an incredible library of games playable on it!? How many would you guess? Well over a thousand at least I'd say.
