cell factor

Nice. I've seen all the videos, and it looks quite nice. They jus tneed to make the demo work with 64-bit Windows so I can play.

How's the PhysX card working for you? I haven't really seen any use for it yet, as so far it's just destroyed people's framerate in GRAW and such, and CellFactor doesn't seem to require the card if you input a special command.

i got it. its working really well for me, theres a really noticable difference between with physx and without. i recommend it, if you can spare the money. itll be worth it when ut2007 comes out.

I'll have to see what happens in the future. I'm heading off to college in the fall, so I won't have much spending money to go around.

yeah i finally got it. it makes a pretty big difference with my gameplay. i freakin love cell factor and i guess now theyre making an actual gam eout of i instead of a demo. WOWOWIOWIOWIE!

i think the physx is definetly worth it. i've tried it on cell factor, graw, and city of villains. its beautiful. i wish i could use it for lord of the rings: battle for middle earth II though. but its a great peice of hardware.

I don't think it's worth it. Too expensive. Not enough benefits. They released it too soon. It looks like an unfinished product. You have to let an egg incubate before it can function in society!

thats not totally true. i thtink that the physx chip may not be the best but its the start of a huge gaming revolution ,imagine what other cards come after this....

it's probably not the start of a huge gaming revolution. it MAY bring more attention to the ppu industry, but that's about it. nice peice of hardware, but nothing groundshaking.

They should have waited until more developers decided to use the technology, or at least should have pushed to try getting it into the next gen consoles to actually get the technology out on the table.

It would greatly help if they licensed the tech out to more than just BFG and Asus so we have competition and lower prices - $300 is way too much for a piece of hardware that lowers framerates and barely adds anything as of now.

multiple page list? not for a while. good product, but it'll take a while to get that much support. theyve got about a page of games right now on their website. but, they are using physx technology in the ps3 and i think i heard 360. i dont know though. it'll get up to a multiple page list, but itll take a while.

I'm telling you, they just need to lower the price and distribute it out to every prebuilt manufacturer. When someone buys a new PC, they'll get the chip. This will cause a massive population of people with the chip, and will encourage developers to actually support something that, at this time, is basically useless.

Same with graphics cards - stop building computers with integrated and use some of the budget cards for the low-end models, an higher-end cards in the better prebuilts. This will potentially lower the cost of enthusiast cards, as well as drastically increase the population of people capable of playing worthwhile computer games. When people go out and buy the cheapest Dell at $500, they then wonder why their already outdated computer becomes ancient in the tech world within 6-12 months. Adding better parts would definately help that, and encourage others to join the far superior PC gaming community.

very good point. built into mass produced pc's would make everyone like it more, whether they want to or not. because alot of people dont give it a chance, but in a pc, they're forced to.
the software's going to be used in the ps3, and i've heard alot of non-video game related companies picking it up
