CHRISTMAS!!!

Ok, so I know these boards have no activity these days, but I bet everyone can post at least one or two things on their wish list or share something they're excited about for Christmas this year!

While I already have more games than I have time to play these days, Far Cry 3 has caught my attention and is something I might pick up if/when it drops in price, OR if I get it for Christmas. :D

I'm also looking forward to havin a few brews with friends and family (I've already had a couple, so things are off to a good start!)

Let's see. My girlfriend bought me a Playstation 3 the week before Christmas (score!). Along with the console, I bought a second controller, Portal 2, and Little Big Planet.

MasterMario, Bluevoodu, and I did some Starcraft II and Left 4 Dead 2 gaming this last weekend, as is tradition.

BV also got me Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur 4 for my PS3! Deathmonkey got me a charger cable for the Dualshock 3 controllers.

It looks like I am back to console gaming for a while!

I am hoping for some 3DS games. I have had only three games since I picked the unit up. I would like little more variety to match my moods.

I didn't really get anything, but it's ok since I bought myself a Wii U. :lol And one of those Keurig coffee makers as well. I don't drink coffee but it also makes tea and hot chocolate, and there are other people in the house that do drink coffee.

My mother-in-law sent money, which I used to buy a play & charge kit (we need new batteries at this point, and our other play & charge cables have gone missing) and a new comforter.

But mostly I was happy because I got to spend all day with Joy and just relax and play video games. Retail is hell this time of year so Christmas is kind of like the "Yes it's over (until next year)" celebration. :lol

No gaming stuff for me this Xmas. I did get a few Marvel Universe figures, a Stone Lucky Bastard, some t-shirts, a What If... Kraven killed spider-man comic, and a Shadow Project CD.

Roughly, 342 days to go and its Xmas again, :lol well, many plans, if I saw this thread weeks ago and joined this site, I would probably be playing draw-something-online.net game. Funny as it maybe but still hooked on this kind of fun.

Haha, yeah, the timeliness of this thread has passed it's prime. I got some PSN money, so I'm happy. Not sure what to get with it though. Still haven't used it, lol.

Its more than that. One thing that I enjoyed about fc3 is the fact the side missions are easy. I dont like when the side quests are harder than the main quest.

The gaming world is so slow right now. A friend actually let me borrow final fantasy xiii. So ill be playing that for a while, I guess.

I'm kind of ok with that to be honest.

Not only are there tons of backlogged games I want to play, but there are also tons of other things I wouldn't mind doing. I mean, books! Those are things that exist! But I never have time to read them.

I don't think I'm going to get a new system when they come out, at least not for a little while. In a way it's almost a relief - I might actually have some time to enjoy the games I do have.

Lol im the same way. I have ac3, black ops 2, and dishonored- all still waiting to be beaten. But I cant beat them cuz I keep going out and buying new games.

Christmas season is coming up again!

I have been catching up on my backlog and hitting the new games from Black Friday - Cyber Monday hard!

In the last ten days, starting with the Thanksgiving LAN with Bluevoodu, MasterMario, and SpartanEvolved, I have played StarCraft II, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, Mario Party 5, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Counter-Strike: Source, Dishonored, Flower, Flow, Soul Calibur IV, Tekken 6, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Little Big Planet, Demon's Souls, Soul Calibur V, Portal 2, Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, Bioshock 2, The Last of Us, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Halo 4.

That's twenty-two games in ten days, while still balancing my work schedule, getting some sleep, and watching Seasons 2-3 of Community! I am making sure that my gaming PC and PS3 are getting their worth!

I laughed when I saw how this thread started a year ago. I had forgotten just how long we have been in this drought.

I am looking forward to Christmas this year. Interestingly I am looking more toward the downtime with my Family than I am anticipating the gifts. That feeling increases each year. Don't worry, I will put on a good front with each gift that is opened. ;) Hopefully they will be some desired 3DS games. I am wanting Animal Crossing New Leaf badly.

I make sure to buy stuff for my kids that I'm cool playing with and I'm very fortunate both kids are video game crazy. Parker got a 2ds and chloe got enough parts to build a fairly decent computer. Both of course want games galore and every check I've been stopping by game stop and stocking up on wii, wii u, 3ds, ds, and 360 games.

Even the toys are pretty cool now, the trackmaster thomas the tank engine stuff is motorized (yeah that'll be circling the christmas tree) nano bugs, test tube aliens you can autopsy (had something similar - basically put slime and operation style organs up in an alien and cut them out) lego tnmt, I might as well be 8 years old again.

I'm basically having 2 Christmas celebrations this year. My GF and I are celebrating early ourselves since we're flying out to Tennessee to her dad's for actual Christmas. Should be fun and hopefully it snows. Growing up on the West coast, you don't really get that.

Going to try to game but with all the traveling, I'm probably going to watch movies and read books that I haven't touched. Will be nice to finally hit my book backlog.
