CoD: Modern Warfare 3 thread

Who is getting this? I am kind of thinking about it, but I am holding off for a few reasons. One is that I reaaalllyy loved the Spec Ops mode in MW2 and am sick of playing Firefight in games. The other is that Halo is just around the corner and I don't think I really need both since I'm definitely getting Halo.

I really enjoy the CoD campaigns though. Lots of fun, but can be kinda short sometimes.

If you're getting it, lemme know how it is!
 
I guess I was misinformed. Came to find out that there are actually 16 spec ops missions! Woohoo! Plus the survival mode. Therefore, I picked it up today and was able to play it some. Enjoyable so far!
 
I ended up picking it up. It definitely feels like MW2.5, but it's still pretty fun.

I haven't touched the campaign yet. CoD campaigns don't particularly astound me. I just play it to play with friends.
 
I've really enjoyed the CoD campaigns. So far, I don't really like the story in this one though. Although the individual missions are creative and fun, the story doesn't really seem to be going anywhere.

I am the same. If it wasn't for the fact that almost all my friends play this game, I probably wouldn't bother. But because they do, it is some of the most fun I have playing videogames.

Strubes and I totally bonded over MW2, and I remember getting matched up with BV randomly one time. That was a nice surprise, except he was on the other team, and killed me incessantly. But those are the things that make the CoD games fun.
 
I got it.... PS3!

I really want MW3, for the campaign and Spec Ops. CoD's multiplayer might as well not even be there. I would pay $60 just for the campaigns and Spec Ops. Multiplayer in CoD is just… meh.

I asked for it for Christmas… perhaps I will get it. ;)
 
I've probably only put in like 10 hours of online matches. I don't want to play it anymore because for whatever reason, I just get DOMINATED every game. It's like, spawn, walk around for 20 seconds, die, repeat. I think I average like 5 kills, 15 deaths a game.

I think part of it is the perks that people get after leveling up so much along with their advanced weapons. Don't really think I'm a huge fan of that system.
 
MM i couldn't agree with you anymore! MW3 is really annoying me, get shot in the back, turn around, then get shot in the back again, sucks!!!
 
Yeah, CoD multiplayer is just no fun (anymore). In Call of Duty 4 they hit it perfect but since it's just been… meh.

Spec Ops, Zombies, and the campaigns is where the fun is, and I will gladly pay for the campaign and zombies/Spec Ops (depending on the developer)

I have MW3 now, by the way. Rank 50 on Spec Ops so I have everything unlocked. If anyone wants to have a go with me just add me on PSN! (CaptainIcy)

My best solo is wave 34 on Underground. (Top 1300 in the world) Best Team with my brother (split-screen) is wave 46 on Underground. (Top 700 in the world :P)
