Conker Live and Uncut will not play (You need Xbox Live)

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
I got a phone call today at work, a lady was cussing like crazy about there is a warning on the game that says "You need Xbox Live to continue"

First off, that sucks, second, isn't there an offline mode? Is this gonna be like Phantasy Star Online all over again, by making sure you have Xbox Live to even access the offline mode??
 
Well this lady told me that she couldn't even get to the title screen..it just haults and tells you that warning about "This game needs Xbox Live in order to continue"
 
That really sucks. Either Rare (I think thats who made this game) messed up good, or the mom is just an idiot. Im guessing the latter.
 
No, there is single player. The "main menu" isn't too much of a menu. It's more of Conker in the middle of a bar drunk, and you have to look around and select which option you want. It defaults to pointing right at Xbox Live and Co. but you need to hit left/right to find the Bad Fur Day slots.

Yes, she is very stupid. I've played the single player on my friend's Xbox several times, and he doesn't have Xbox Live. I've even played the offline multiplayer modes on it.

Very, very, stupid.

Its extremely stupid because she goes and yells at Mega for something he has no control over. God I hate people.
 
Oh trust me, if a game doesn't work brand new....they call us....they think we make the games and repair systems...it's a riot dude.

Oh believe me, I know also. I work in retail also. I know how it goes.
 
yup, you just have to love how these people *customers* are...they're really a piece of work...they try to pull the wool over your eyes alot of times just to see if you are paying attention...
 
:lol I also know the horrors of working in electronics retail. Except in my case, it was in a department store, and my bosses knew nothing about videogames or electronics of any kind, so they expected the same BS from me that idiotic customers did.

What a gong show...
