It's hard to come up with stuff that people can't cheat at, Google and Wikipedia has turned online competition into a who can use a search engine faster.
It'd never work but if there were 3 or 4 games the majority of us had or could get easily would make for some interesting Olympic style video game contest. Go march madness style and use a bracket or just figure out how to assign quantitative points to each game and highest average wins.
Or heck, it's march madness, you could always just do NCAA brackets!
