Counter Strike....Is It worth It?

Since the Xbox 1 is pretty much slowly but surely becoming a dinosaur, i was looking through all the heavilymarked down games..one of which is counter strike. The only problem being, i dont have live  :'(. But can you still play splitscreen...like with A.I. bots or something? cause i love the game, but im not sure if it is worth it without the online play.

Why don't i have live again?

I don't know about split screen or with bots or anything...but I don't think it has those features. I'd say it's pretty pointless without Xbox live.

Aside from that though, welcome to the boards Conman!
Hopefully you'll get xbox live soon so we can play Halo 2 or some other games.

Yeah there's bots, so it won't be a COMPLETE waste if you get it. I've never played it on live, so I don't know how that is.

No splitscreen. Bots are there.

Take my advice and don't waste your money.

Yea it's first person..unless you like to see your character constipated. I didn't really get into this game...although it has 200+ hours or something of game play.

I loved playing it online.......i thought it was pretty good fun.....but offline is reeeeeeeaaaalllllly boooooorrrrrrrring

I've never actually played it, my brother bought it, so I couldn't tell you a fun factor for offline.

Well, the one redeeming factor of offline is system link can be pretty fun. But again, the novelty will wear off pretty quick.

Ya, if you have a decent computer get Couter Strike on PC, any other version is absolute trash.

Good choice. Morrowind has received countless awards and glowing reviews by just about every gaming site I've visited so naturally I went out and purchased it. Big mistake! Yes this game is HUGE, but it is also tedious and dull. Serious Sam, however, is mighty good fun! I still play it alot...

As for Counter-Strike, I have to agree with everyone who has posted so far. Without Xbox Live this game has little to offer. No single player campaign whatsoever, just match after numbing match on plain-looking maps. The custom soundtrack feature makes it a little better, but not by much...
