Crikey!!

Well what's more sad, is this was caught on film as he died. Amazing how everyone was crying at Zoo's across the world when they heard he passed away.

Many have told me "We all knew he was gonna die some crazy away or another"

I feel sorry for his wife and 2 kids (Both age 8 and 2)

Nobody had crazy bold courage like this guy, but he died doing what he loved best.

it sucks and im having a hard time believing this becuase the news broke like 3 hrs after the accident its crazy that it happened that fast and he's dead

What's even sadder is his wife was on some other expedition and most like would have found out by the news media instead of friends/relatives/responsible messengers.

That guy should have died so many times before now. Seriously, Steve Irwin was at the point where he didn't even need anti-venom anymore because he got bit by snakes so often. Still, I will miss his crazy antics and love for fierce looking animals. Rest in Peace.

Poor guy.  Although it was probably bound to happen with his career, he died at such a young age of 44.

i can safely say that I'm gonna miss him...  :'(

Animals sigh in relief.

Actually, he's leaving behind a legacy of conservation efforts. His death is quite a great loss to both humankind and animals.

Rest in Peace, Croc Hunter.

This was sad when I heard, and rather hard to believe. And to think, after all the crocs and snakes he's dealt with, it was the rather docile sting ray. I say he deserved a better death than a freak accident, but as it was said earlier, at least he died doing what he loved to do.

Still not fair to his family though. One second he's there, the next he's not. Oh well, Rest In Peace is all I can really say.
