Decided upon a new revelation... or should I?

Shall this epic quest begin? Or should I save my cash for other, possibly more important items?

Hell Scyth

Rock Hard, Dead or Alive
I was flinging through some stuff and came upon a site where you could buy a lot of the old N64 classics for very reasonable prices. I had a wonderful nostalgic moment as I flicked through it's large archive, all at the same wishing I could play them once more.

And it came to me as a smack to the face would. I could revisit my childhood again and play them... but to do that would require spending my saved cash on a new system, and that could come to $100 (AUS) easily... It is a tough thought as I know I've been saving for things I know are more important, like bills, a car, and maybe one day enough money to rent, at the least.

As my mind raced through the decision and my hand began to waver over my online debit card, it occurred to me that this decision would require a lot more brain power than my currently chocolate-milk overdosed one could muster.

So I beseech thee, my EGA friends, to assist in deciding a reasonable decision; and I'm not going to go for, "IT'S A N64, GOSH DARN IT, GRAB IT YOU FOOL *slap*", because this concerns money and stuff! So please put your two cents without the added spam.

Thank you in advance for any help.

No dude...it may be a N64 which is straight awesome..but you need the money for other things

you could also find one thats cheaper than 100 dollars mate...

Hell Scythe it sounds like this is most of your savings from your post so it would be foolish to waste it on video game system and you need to be slapped up side the head acouple of times for even thinking it.

Are N64's really that hard to come by in Australia? Hell, in America they are a dime a dozen almost :lol

Tough decision my old friend. I'd say try to find one at a decent and cheap price. Especially on Ebay :)

Okay, so I could easily get it for 30 bucks if I searched, but I'd like a game or two to start with. And in case anyone was thinking I've go loads of bills to pay, I don't... yet...

Dude N64 games now adays cost under 9 dollars
theres n64 games out there that cost more if theyre rare to find but most cost barely 10 bucks for games

and yeah if you research you can find a n64 for under 40 bucks too

Maybe not that harsh :) I know the temptations of wanting to buy. Save your money.. you'll be better off.

How are the economic times were you are?

BUT ... I will say this (in contrary to everyone else)... if you feel it is a good buy, and that you will not have a hard time replacing the money you spent and will earnestly save afterwards, then maybe you should consider the purchase. Also look at the resell value in case you have to sell it off. Sometimes we should take a deal because you truely won't come across it again. But don't mistake a killer deal with a modest deal. :)

Hope that helps.

Our economy ain't that good, like anywhere else in the globe, but I have a steady income.

And I reckon that if I did get one, it'd e good since it seems it wont be long before it's value begins to go up as it becomes harder to come by a decent system.

After thinking I had 600 hundred in the bank, and fining out yesterday it was 440. I think I'm going to hold off on getting this, until I can find more spare cash to use with my secondary account.

Thanks for your help, everyone.

I thought I had a steady income when I bought my used x-box and gamecube and bunch of games to go with last year I was layed off about a month and half later. What I'm saying always save first buy toys second because you don't know when your steady job is going to go up in smoke especialy if the economy isn't doing well.

That's why I've got a secondary card that I put spare money on for other things. :)

Anyway, I'm going to pass on all this... and hint to my parents for Christmas. ;)

If I do that, then I wont be able to drink as much booze, and twice as much water... I think... I'll sell someone else's instead. :D :lol

I think that'd be more noticeable.

In fact, forget the kidney! I'll just make ice cream and sell it on the BLACK MARKET!!!!

Yes... the very thing.

Anyway, I've conjured the perfect plan for getting the games and the system... just have to wait a few months first.
