Deep Labyrinth spells?

Ok, today I just bought this game and I'm at the very start. I'm trying to cast the first two spells but I can't get them to work! I've tried drawing them exactly like it says and then press attack, but nothing happens!? Am I doing something wrong, or am I just that artistically impaired? :?
 
I'd say you're impaired or your game is messed up. Try getting someone else to draw it.

Well you're right I'm most impaired, i was drawing it backwards. Of course I thought you could just draw it in any order as long as it looked the same, apparently not. Thanks for your help anyway.

Have you tried other games in which you need to draw? Can you perform the tasks there?

What about recalibrating your DS screen?

all is good and well now, I figured it out, thank you anyway :)
 
Yeah, that causes a lot of problems in some games, like the Triforce drawing in Phantom Hourglass.
 
Yes, with Deep Labyrinth you have to draw them in the same way as they show you when you pick up the ability... from start to finish. Doing something out of order will mess it up.
 
I really enjoyed the game, it's very simple...but not enough to make you want to stop playing. Nice and relaxing game. What does everyone else think about it?
