Capcom and Japanese movie production company Gaga Communications have announced that they are planning to make the popular PlayStation 2 action game Devil May Cry into a Hollywood movie. The movie is scheduled to begin filming in 2005 with a budget of $40 million. The companies are still deciding on the director, cast, and actors for the film. Gaga and Capcom hope to make the film reflect the original game, showing off the stylish Dante and Trish in action.

Just like many other videogame spinoff movies, it has great potential, but somehow I see it not turning out so well.

yeah movies turned into videogames and vice versa dont really work.

For some reason...I have a good feeling about this one. I'll probably be wrong, and it will probably stink, but the fact that Capcom want it as close to the game as possible is a good thing in my view. Guess they learned their lesson from the Resident Evil movie.

Plus, I really love the story to Devil May Cry - what there is of one, anyway.

i liked the resident evil movie, first one meaning.
the second was amusing b/c of the appeasement to the fans.
zombies are just cool on their own ya know
this i don't think could quite work as well with dmc
i'm wondering where the third mk movie is and last i heard of the doom movie, i thought they were getting the rock to play the main character
