Diablo 2: what is the best for leveling up a paladin?

A hammerdin is pretty nice, I had a level 96 before my account went bye bye, just max that, the syenergy and get some in holy shield and it should do quite well, even if you don't have the best equipment. Just try and get some +skill items.

what about str... dex.... etc... what is the best to put points in every level up?

I really don't remember, I know only enough dex for the shield you were going to equip. I had a stormshield so I had whatever that was. Strenght was probably around that too. I think around 10 mana, or none. Very low, and just pump vitality with whatever is left.

I also forgot, make sure you get the redemption skill, you can get back to full health and mana after a slaughter in just a sec then.
