Disgaea 3 Announced for the PS3!

Great news for PS3 owners! The game's to be released in 2008 (No month given yet), and will include some past characters...well "a ton" of past characters making cameo appearances and such. Obviously, we're not all strategy-RPG nuts, but I love RPG's in general the way Disgaea goes about its story. It's always so quirky and funny, but can also get serious and sad as well at any given time. I can't wait to find out more information on this, and I hope to keep you all posted more as more information pops up.

None of those confirm it, but the actual site that confirmed it is all in Japanese. :-\

It's kind of out of the blue though. Sony didn't release any information on it. Maybe it's a surprise (which isn't much of one anymore) or maybe it's coming out in late 2008.

this is good news, i gotta get the DS version of disgaea first though and then disgaea 2, is the game hard or easy???

WEll the games have multiple endings and its all based on you leveling up your characters, so it can be hard or easy.

But regardless, I cant wait for Disgaea 3, Afternoon of Darkness was and is always a pleaser in terms of story, attacks, and even the dialogue, so this will be better. As long as the Prinnies are still there with "Dood!!!!"

It can be hard if you try and rush through it. Spend a little time leveling up your characters if a level becomes too tough and you'll be set.

that's not what i was thinking though, i was hoping for something as hard as fire emblem , even leveling up makes it hard, and well i don't want to rush through the game, but well i will still try this disgaea 1-3

Does Disgaea have free combat? Free combat is battles where you can work on leveling up the characters, but it's not part of the storyline.

It has it where you can replay the level for as many time as you want of course with an infinite number of varying characters each time and a fantastic bonus system. Ive never been able to get the Bonus Gauge above 3 of the possible 11, usually .

Yes. You can even enter randomly created levels where the more levels you proceed, the higher your weapon level increases, along with your character's level. :)

ISnt there some ultimate item that you get when you reach level 99 in the Item World?

I'm not sure. I know in this one..you can get up to level 9,999 or something like that.

Might be the Yoshitsuna you are thinking about. You get it on the last level of a legendary cosmic blade off of the item general.

Hm then I need to try to get some Item to level 99!! IF that item is all its cooked up to be.
 
Nippon Ichi will release a Trophy patch for Disgaea 3 in PlayStation Network on July 16, 2009, there will be around 50 trophies in the game.

Although I would complain and my friend thinks this is the dumbest idea for an update, I was going to restart anyway (though it did take me quite some time to finally get nearly all of the classes :( )
