Do you think the Nintendo DS will be redesigned?

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Like all Nintendo's handhelds (except Virtual Boy...*tear*)....they always get a face lift/make over to make them more efficent and smaller.

So do you think Nintendo DS will ever get this treatment?
 
probably at some point :) Maybe they will add more functionality.. bigger screens.. or something.

Although... IMO the Nintendo DS is great as is... but maybe they can improve it.

man... I wish the Virtual Boy didn't flop... that was seriously a cool system.

actually.... I think they need to redesign the case. Most people won't agree with me on this... but I want a magnesium alloy (or something like that).... like the IBM laptop cases.

OR maybe a special edition Titanium case... or some other "metal feeling case."

heck... even a glossy carbon fiber case would be niiiicccee. :D

I think the size of it is too big and I'm sure Nintendo could shrink it without really taking much away.

my theory would be...shrink the size of the L/R buttons....Relocate the power switch (since I dont like it near the D-pad)...Add in a brightness adjustment...Move the GBA port on top of it...so it can sit along side the DS port.

The screen is perfect, I wouldn't really mess with that
 
this is a good thread Mega. It would be cool if they made the DS with a better screen. Other then that I have no complaints.
 
yeah i would say i'm atleast 99% sure they'll do some redesigning! I would only like for it to be lighter. It starts to hurt my hands a bit when i'm in certain positions, which the GBA SP doesnt.
 
The DS handheld need a mini analog stick and a mini C-stick to play these 3-D games like, 8) :D

It would be so much easier to play the 3-D games and the 2-D games will be used for the D-pad or analog stick. 8) ;)

you know what... I Wouldn't say it is greed at all.

people in Japan LOVE the console redesigns... personally, I do too. It is cool to see something other than the normal couple colors... and something even new in the way of improved screens..etc Giving improvements @ the same price as before is pretty cool.

IT just puts a little more fun back into systems and what-not... but hey... that is my take :)
