Does GameShark or any Cheat Device mest up ur Memory Card???

I was about to buy Gameshark or another cheat device for ps2. I never really use cheats I just wanted to see how fun it is. I just need some advice on if it will mest up my ps2 itself or any ps2 memory card. Please Respond . Thanx

Yeah it does mess up your memory card so I suggest you buy one.
