For those that do not know.... and have asked in the past... does the Wii use the same video connector as the Snes / Gamecube/N64?

Post it up :) and yes, from time to time I will post reference topics that are somewhat obvious to some... but asked by those who don't know yet. Easy / fast Info :)

yeah... like I said... I am going to bring up some topics here and there that we might all know, but others searching for info could use. I tell you, I had trouble finding a lot of info on the Wii when it came to normal specs on the system and what was changed... and what could be done..etc.

Anyway... I wonder why they changed it? that's pretty stupid. I can't stand normal composite... I have a Nintendo brand S-video cable (from the SNES days... hard to find those :) )... and I've used that on the N64, snes, gamecube..etc. I tell you... S-video didn't work real well with the N64... on Ocarina of time, it made it look more pixelated... a little. Maybe I am imagining things... but I could almost swear it did.

Component cables on GCN make huge differenfes on games like Melee, despite it being nearly a launch title.

I already ordered component for Wii. I can't wait to see Zeruda.

yeah... I ordered the component cable too.. might be here tomorrow.. if not, mon.
I never got the Gamecube component... just used the S-video (Nintendo Brand) connector with that. I wanted to try component though. I wonder how much of a difference S/V has to component? I mean... there is a HUGE jump from the A/V to my S/V cables... HUGE jump..
