Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is really fun.

I played a demo today and had a total blast. This game is totally awesome. Using the bongos to control DK is a lot of fun.  I can't wait for it to come out. I already have a copy reserved.

Is anyone else hyped for DKJB?

Oh and for those of you who want a "real" DK, at least give JB a try. You might be surprised.

You can play it with standard controllers, but it's much more fun and challenging with the bongos. Especially the boss battles.

it does look fun. My problem is that I'm not sure about playing it without something sturdy for the bongos to sit on. I had that problem holding them on my lap while playing Konga.

my only concern is the controls are they fluent? easy to use and most of all is it fun??

So wait...this is pretty different than donkey konga? I liked that game, though it was just another music timing game.

Tapping the right bongo makes DK go right. Tapping the left bongo makes DK go left. Hitting both bongos at the same time makes DK jump, and clapping makes DK clap (it's one of his attacks). Or if you don't want to clap, you can just tap the side of the bongos.

The faster you tap the bongos in a certain direction, the faster Donkey Kong moves. If you want him to run really really fast, hit the drum at a fast pace. It's pretty straightforward, IMO.

Boss battles work a little differently. The most famous one that's included in most demos is where DK is having a boxing match with another gorilla, and by hitting the drums, you punch the other gorilla. You can also dodge his attacks by clapping.

It's insanely fun. Most people who have played it compare it, surprisingly, to something like Ikaruga, where the game itself is short, but you can spend massive amounts of time on it trying to get the best possible score.
