DS screen protector

Are they needed?

I keep hearing people say that the touch screen can be scratched... but I used my palm M500 for 2 years now and have no scratches.

SO what is the DS screen scratch potential?

should I get the screen covers?

I haven't had a problem with it, even though many of the games that I play on my DS are stylus intensive. I think that as long as you don't push the stylus too hard on the screen, it will be fine without a cover.
