EA in Shock as Xbox BLACK Leaks

Electronic Arts has suffered a serious blow to its release schedule, as it watches the eagerly-anticipated Xbox FPS BLACK leak out across peer-to-peer networks and downloaded by an untold number of home and professional pirates.

The source of the leak is unknown, though it should be noted that the code in circulation right now is the PAL release. It is widely assumed that one of EA's recently-dismissed 350 staff members stuck in the proverbial knife as a leaving gift to his or her former employer.

Should the story unfold any further than this, we'll keep you updated. As to how major publishers will tackle such aggressive attacks from their inner circles remains to be seen.

Ive seen some of the screenshots and this game looks impressive. If this game turns out to be good then this can only help them in the end. Oh and I know Spong isn't the most reliable but we can still discuss about P2P and filesharing.

What the heck?!?!

I played a demo disc of this for the PS2 and it looks fantastic and the game play is amazing. I think they should investigate each of the released workers and find out who did this. >:(

Wow man, that's huge. This game is definitely on my list of games to pick up once it comes out, after being thoroughly convinced it wasn't a PC or Xbox 360 title (it seriously looks that good). To hear that it's been leaked all I have to say is... why hasn't it leaked onto my computer? :lol

Seriously though, it serves EA right for firing 350 staff members.

so,EA thinks that one of there workers leaked out the game so they fired 350 of them when it could of been 1 guy or maybe a group of guys, thats gotta suck knowing you along with 348 othere people didnt do it and you get FIRED! :(

They didn't fire 350 cause they thought one of them did it. They dismissed 350 workers, THEN one of them let it leak out.

The demo sucked... Yes, I know its just a demo but I thought it was subpar. The graphics are pretty good, but with no multiplayer its going to be a rental title. If even that.

Ya, I've cruised a lot of message boards and have heard that. But here's the thing about that...

Just because it's an FPS it's expected to have multiplayer. The fact that it doesn't for some reason makes a lot of people believe it's not worth it. Why is that? Honestly I play videogames a lot more by myself than with friends, and I'm glad that they're focusing all their effort on making the single player experience great. Who doesn't like a good single player experience? Does a game have to have multiplayer to be worth a purchase?

And just out of simple curiosity, what was so bad about it in the demo? Cuz seriously I've seen a bunch of videos that have made me actually say "wow," so I have trouble understanding why you're already writing this game off as a rental at best.

I almost exclusivelt game with friends. Day I got Doom 3, the first thing I did was beat co-op with a buddy of mine. Conker, me and my friend prolly logged 100 hours of play time in less than 2 weeks. Halo 2, same thing. I don't game by myself unless I'm playing singleplayer because nobdy is online to play with.
