I'm Not So Bad, Once You Get To Know Me.
I've already purchased my first game, purchased it about 5 months ago...



I even just received a faceplate I found inexpensively online. :D



Now I'll most likely be picking up DOA4 but I want to hear some opinions from my peeps here about what my other purchase should be. Games I've got my eye on are...

Perfect Dark Zero
Table Tennis
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Prey
PGR3
Saints Row
Tony Hawk Project 8
Rumble Roses XX

I'd like to hear some of your thoughts on what games you like. What games you recommend, so on and so forth. Thank you in advance. :D

Personally I would not get Perfect Dark Zero until all other shooter options were exhausted.

No GeoW, no R6Vegas, no GRAW, no CoD, no Lost Planet, no Splinter Cell, no oblivion? Maybe you should rethink that list because it basically excludes ALL the highest rated 360 games. I would recommend R6Vegas, Oblivion, and everyone seems to like GeoW for some reason (even though I'm not all that crazy about) so you should probably get that. 8)

remember, halo 3, god of war 2, and all those great wii games (Brawl, Metroid, and mario galaxy)

Ruble roses isnt a good choice neither is pdz. I would get gears r6 vegas crackdown oblivion. That should keep you busy for a while. Also xbox live............

Well, I would say the must haves are Crackdown, Gears of War, Oblivion, and Rainbow Six Vegas. Each a different style of game, each very fun.

Dead Rising is a great game, but its replay value isn't as high as one would hope. Although, there is a rumor of co-op being added to it...

That is the source. Basically it says that there is going to be a "platinum edition" of Dead Rising with online co-op play. I hope it is true.

Yeah I heard about that. Good news for me because I actually don't have dead rising. I rented it onece, but I didn't have the money to buy it at the time. I'm definately gonna pick up the platinum edition though. 8)

Thanks for all the info. I'm not huge into the first person shooters. Just never been a big fan outside of the Golden Eye/Perfect Dark/Halo series. Some of your other suggestions are great as well but I'm looking to start a little slow. A lot of these games are very high in price and I'd just as soon wait until their prices drop before I pick them up. RR6 cost me $20. I've noticed that I can also pick up Top Spin 2 for $20. DOA4 is definitely a must buy regardless of the price. DOAX 2 however is a wait until it goes down in price before you buy it type of game as are a lot of the other titles.

Co-op mode for Dead Rising would be excellent, I wish more games had online co-op. I'm also hoping the UK price drop for the 360 means we'll be getting one here as well. When it was first released in 2005 they promised annual price drops but it's been well over a year now and not a peep. Hopefully they'll do a 360 Platinum Edition of Oblivion too, like they did with Morrowind, with bug fixes and expansions. But I should probably finish the Morrowind expansions first. :lol

I must say that I am a little jealous, Tommy!! I have been wanting a 360 since launch. But with buying a house, every time I have the money, it gets funneled into some sort of house project.

I think I'm gonna start hiding money from my wife...

Well I got it. Sunday morning at around 11AM. Picked it up along with PDZ. The shop I bought it at had a $50 gift card offer with the purchase of a 360 so I decided to jump on that. Wasn't able to find DOA4, but I will by weeks end. ;)

First off this thing was heavy. Wow. And that power cord "thing" was :o :o !!!! :lol

I set everything up earlier after arriving home. Got my gamertag and everything. Not sure yet if I'm going to get into the whole online thing but I am digging the access to free downloads and such. Just finished downloading the RRXX demo and am now downloading the Saints Row demo.

Quick question, where is all the memory? It's supposed to be 20 gigs right? According to what I'm seeing there's only about 10 gigs left and I haven't done anything. Is part of the hard drive kept separate or something? Just curious.

Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. I downloaded the Family Guy Season 4 DVD theme and it's what I'm using. :D

They preload it these days with a bunch of stupid promotional crap, like videos and music. You have to go into the memory menu and delete it to clear it out.

i really dont remember how many gigs is in it.. but its not quite as heavy as the ps3 becouse of the power cord being outside of it.. but hte one thing that turns me off is how loud the 360's run.. i was playing gears and my wife asked me to stop rewinding a movie?? i was like  :lol man this thing is loud though
