EVENTUALLY!!!, the month the PS3 takes control

A semi-official PS3 blog slates TONS of huge PS3 titles for release in Sptember. The games include Heavenly Sword, Lair, Killzone, Ratchet and Clank, and has also suggested PS3 versions of Bioshock and Wipeout Fusion. Could this be the month the PS3 ressumes its domination of the console market.

I just read all the way through the article and it may have a mistake. It claims a PSP launch title Wipeout Fusion will be on the PS3. I think they mean Wipeout Pure.

It's possible but I think it's going to depend on what the 360 and Wii release around that time as well. If it's close enough to when Super Smash Bros. Brawl or Halo 3 are supposed to be released, it will be a tough match. ^_^

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

No...absolutely no chance of the PS3 taking control. The price tag is still an issue for the average customer. The games might make the system dominate for the month...but I don't ever see the PS3 on top of the competition.

Well your very optimistic. :D

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Well he has a point... the ps3 can't take control with awesome games if no one has a ps3 to play them on...

But having awesome games will cause people to buy the PS3, and then the PS3 will gain at leasst something.

No game is worth $600.

I never said one was. But 5 or so very good games makes it worth it for a lot of people if they can afford it. Paying $400 for the 360 wasn't really worth it until good games started coming out. It probably took until late 2006 for there to be enough good games to merit spending $400.

Nah, the 360 had good games at launch. Not alot, but mixed with Xbox live, alot of people wanted to get their hands on it for that reason. I didn't say u said any game was worth $600, but the idea that a game would make someone want to buy a PS3, idk....I jus don't think so. And if anyone has enough to afford all those games PLUS the PS3....then I think they'd have it by now. Plus, like Mai said, Halo 3, and SSB Brawl are both due out that month. If anything, it's gonna be Sony's hardest month.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Halo 3 is due out in November and Brawl, I don't think that ones been confirmed. Why do you think people buy consoles? Because of the games on them. To say that someone won't buy a console because of the games that are on it is just stupid.

WOO!!!!! 400 POSTS!!!! :D

Well that's just cause a lot of people are stupid. I'm not gonna buy the PS3 for Bluray. I'm gonna buy it for the games and the PS3 appears to be getting some good games.

True, which explains exactly why the PS3 is currently getting the crap kicked out of it by both the 360 and wii. I just made this topic to show that the PS3 is starting to build up their library of games and they're not out just yet.

Yeah, but taking almost an entire year to get off the ground is inexcusable.
Good point. The Wii is having some trouble too though. I mean, it only has 4 or 5 really big titles coming out this year, just like the PS3.

Don't get me wrong here guys. I'm disappointed in the PS3 thus far too. I guess I'm just being more optimistic than you guys. :D

Yes, yes you are...lol. Let me rephrase my previous statement: People don't buy $600 systems for the games.
