External 500GB for PS3 (Japan only so far)

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Hardware maker Buffalo announced they will release two licensed external hard drives for PlayStation 3. The Piano Black HD-AV500US/SC is a 500GB USB external hard drive that sits horizontally, with a meter on the front showing free disk space, which will sell for 14800 yen. The HD-CL500U2/SC is the second 500GB USB external hard drive which stands vertically, and does not have the meter. Both drives can be used with Sony's Torne Digital Video Recorder Kit.

Sounds unnecessary. You'd have to pretty much install and download a bunch of stuff just to clear up some free space >_<

Though you think it's alot. You can fill it pretty easily. I have a 1tb external full and another tb with half of it full.

I've never really figured how easy it is to transfer over saves and such from hard drive to hard drive for the PS3. I know you can use any laptop hard drive on them.

I know it's easily done. That much space just doesn't seem needed though. Not for me, who uses it for gaming lol
