SF Alpha 2 on SNES...quick impression for you Doc...

ROUND 1!!!!......*30 second wait*........................................................................

FIGHT!!!! *game continues*

;)

But anywho lol What's really odd is how SF Alpha 3 suffered....but Super SF2 Turbo (Match Edition) on Dreamcast is amazing! I have no clue how the two drifted apart...

Same goes for Vampire Chronicles (aka Darkstalkers) on DC..another CPS-2 game that was done very well on the Dreamcast. Odd indeed.

SFA3 on Saturn>Dreamcast>PS1 :lol

But yeah..its still a great game no matter what system you play it on..its always better than SFA2 on SNES :D
Man I feel like throwing away my SFA3 in the garbage now since I know all of this.

What do you guys think of Marvel vs Capcom 2? I own it on Dreamcast and PS2, both feel the same except the sounds and how you can do more combos on Dreamcast than PS2, really weird. :-\

PS2 suffers on MVC2....the sprites are smaller and skinnier....compare Capt. America's sprite side by side...it's a big difference..

the DC version is IT, because...I have to say this again...but NAOMI strikes again here...DC= Naomi...she's a goddess when it came to lovely Arcade games

Yup another great example how DC pulled off a miracle

Exactly. The Dreamcast hardware was almost identical to the Naomi arcade hardware that MVC2 ran on, therefore its pretty much arcade perfect. The same can be said for any Naomi based game on DC.

What did we learn here today kids? DC>PS2 for Naomi based fighting games :lol

Plus don't forget...in Japan...when Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 arrived in Japan...some of the Arcade cabinets could accept Dreamcast VMU memory cards...gee, what does that tell ya :)

pretty much sums it up. i didn't think it was the sprite animation, but i thought the sounds were messed up with the ps2 version of mvc2.

Man...see I was playing the PS2 verison the other day and it didn't feel right to me, its like I couldn't pull off all of my combos like I do in the arcades, it feel like it was restricting me from doing so. Also, I've noticed that the sounds is different too and I've noticed the sprites, the only thing I can say good about the PS2 is the loading time.

Also, I hate the controller for DC, hard for me to use the d-pad and pull off my moves, but that's on a different subject.

Real men use joysticks anyway :p

The d-pad is kinda stiff..I always use a joy..I suggest you get one for yourself...not just for DC but for any system that you take fighting games seriously on.

I agree, real men use MAN-TROLLERS....not CONtrollers.. :D

It's like driving a manual shift stick...like a 67' Mustang...American muscle car...you want to make a fireball? you work that baby....you feel the movement almost...DOWN-FORWARD + PUNCH!

a CONtroller...you just gently slide it D-F+P..weee....pfft

I guess so, but Im not use to the joystick but I have on though, its just really hard to use it for me. In arcades though its easy for me, I beat everyone's @ss!

You're alright by me dude haha ;D

So right too..a good sturdy joystick, the sound of the buttons and the 8 way joy clicking away like crazy when you throw the smackdown on your little friend holding his tiny controller in his hand...CLASSIC!

I always use a Joystick..but give my opponents the choice...they seem to always pick a dpad controller...but when an opponent at my house says "give me the joystick"..well then I know I finally have a real challenge on my hands, and a fight thats gonna be worth my time hehe.

Ok, I found my old joystick that I have for my PS2 and I decided to use it on Marvel vs Capcom 2, but one of the buttons is really messed up. When I press the box button, it does like 3 things at once, punch, kick, and jump at the same time! Sometimes it makes my helper guy come out as well. I dont know whats wrong with it but I just unplugged it and used the regular controller. I might try it on Capcom vs SNK 2 when I get the chance.
