I am not trying to bring him back, or cause a commotion. This is simply a peaceful way to see what the members of this forum think about the decision of his unbanning. If you mods feel that this is inappropriate, then lock it. I'm not trying to cause any trouble, I just feel he should be able to come back. :)

I think his banned should be revoked. Hell, I've been banned three times now. He's only been banned twice. Let him be the second person to return from a permanent ban. Let me tell you all why he was permanently banned.

As you may know, fhq, hines, and I all received temporary bans for some topic that got out of hand. Hines got a week and fhq and I got two weeks. We were both bumfuzzled as to why we were banned, and the only way to contact a mod was for fhq to make another account. So he did. He made it to talk to a mod. He never made it to hurt anyone or anything. Only to find out why we were both banned. He never made to go behind the mods' backs.

He helped campaign for my return, and I'll do the same for him. He's my online brother and I won't stand for anything short of fair treatment for him, which in this case, doesn't constitute a permanent ban. For the sake of all us, please bring him back. You gave me another chance, give him another one also.

To be fair, he did end up posting on the actual forum with that account.

Only to let everyone relieve him of that evil eye we seem to give new members at first. He wanted to be less suspicious.

wow i guess i miss alot while gone, well i he was pretty cool so i think he should be unbanned :)

He was like Cherry in a way

YES - 6 votes
NO - 0 votes

I think it's time for some unbanning to go down. (since it's quite obvious that the mods are avoiding this thread at all costs)

This thread's been up for an hour and twenty minutes. No mods have been on in that time period, have some patience Hines. XD

Hopefully, they will listen to what we think when one see's this topic.

As far as i hear,d Fhq simply broke another rule and was banned again. He'd been Temp banned before, so basically he'd hit his strikes and is now out. But, I personally have gotten along rather well with Fhq.

I'm not saying, either, that he should be taken off his ban, but I wouldn't mind seein' him in the chat room every now and then.

I would bring him back. I've discussed this fully with some of the mods. They took a vote on bringing him back and they decided not to. I vote yes to his unbanning though. If it were only that simple.

First, let me remind you that it is up to us to decide how long we ban someone. We could have permanently banned him on the first offense, if we wanted. We gave him 3 chances. He blew it.

Second, the final straw was his creation of a new account. Now, we would almost understand if he did it simply to contact a mod (even though an e-mail would have sufficed). However, he had absolutely no reason to post on it. That was a blatent disregard of the rules.

Thank you all for second-guessing the mods, though.

BV backs the mods. He chose us, trusting us to make good decisions. When we get a near-unanimous vote in favor of keeping fhq banned, he won't argue. In fact, I'll reference another post from the "straight from the boss" thread. These are BV's words.

3.) don't give the mods any more crap. If you feel something is unfair, take it up with me... otherwise if it is for not following the rules, drop it.

HOWEVER, I have been talking to him. He is in a generous mood right now. He says to tell you all that if you come up with a good reason or two-even after we gave him his chances-to unban him, he will consider it.

Go for it.

Fhq broke the rules (the same rules you are all expected to post by) multiple times, after receiving specific warnings from more than one mod advising him of what would happen if he continued to do so. He continued to do so.

I wanted to lock this thread because I don't feel there is any mysticism or controversy surrounding fhq's ban that warrants any discussion.

The rules of the board exist to make it a fun and friendly atmosphere for everyone, respecting them is not hard to do, and respecting them is something we expect from everyone. Our expectations may sometimes seem high, but 99% of the people here meet and exceed our expectations every day. Those who consistently show an inability to abide by the rules of the board will not be here long. It's as simple as that.

Ok, I'll start this show.

1. fhq had no way to contact the mods other than creating the false name. He didn't know what reasons he was being banned, and therefor wanted to know.

2. The secondary name didn't do any harm. He didn't raise his post count and he didn't try and make it a long-term deceit.

3. He's a major contributor to the forums. Almost all of his posts/topics are thought through and opinionated.

Don't take that away from this forum. He's a great member.

Not entirely true. MasterMario, for example, has a good number of ways to be contacted. BV probably has even more. He could've tried IMing or E-mail before jumping in and making a new account.

Now, I didn't really get along with fhq that much, as 90% of the time I'd end up arguing with him, if not Jack as well.

However, if you get banned twice, most likely for the same offense, you'd think you'd get it by the second time around. You test a mods patients, and that's the breaks.

If they do unban him, then all the more power to him. I can't say one way or the other.
