Final Fantasy

Nah. For the most part the FF games are exclusive of eachother when it comes to storyline (with a few exceptions, like FFX and FFX-2, etc). So you can play them independently and at whatever order you wish.

Play FF IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X in that order. Just a recommendation.

I always wanted to play, or at least see, the japanese final fantasy games that were never released in the USA. My favorites were III, VII, and XIII, but there are still the newer ones I have yet to play at all.

not at all dude... but good luck finding VII although it is the best of the bunch IMO

I'm at the end of the first disc of FFVII, then I got bored, so I got on the computer!!! :D

Is it really that hard to find VII now? It's not on ebay? Heh, I remember when I bought it back in the day...there were like a billion copies of it on the racks of Best Buy.

Depends.... the original version (non-ghits) can be tough to find.

Many sought after games have a potential for higher value in the future.  Some don't achieve that, but some do... even if the supply wasn't short.

FF VII, regardless of GHit or not is valuble, sadly enough. I have three copies of the title, fortunately. But I don't plan on parting with them anytime soon. The fact that FF VII is worth more than 15 dollars astounds me on a daily basis. It's ridiculous. There's absolutely no reason for it. They were printed in the millions.

Greatest Hits. It's a high seller branding like Platinum Hits or PLayer's Choice.

^ What he said.

Haha, man I just checked ebay and HOLY CRAP! I bought the greatest hits version when I finally made the leap to playstation and I got it on sale for like $9.99 at Best Buy (after christmas sales)...that game now sells for 5 times what I paid for it. That's insane! To be greatest hits it has to surpass a million in sales right? So it REALLY shouldn't be that hard to find the freaking thing...rediculous...

I believe it's only somewhere in the realm of 400-600 thousand units to qualify.

Also, Greatest Hits wasn't around when FF VII launched, so you have to consider even more than that were sold before hitting GH for FF VII.

Ok I found it, yeah the game has to have been out for a full year and sold more than 400,000 copies. But still, it really shouldn't be too incredibly hard to find a copy of this. I wonder how much they go for at places like EB.

Up until about a year ago you could find them in just about every store brand new...

I got the Greatest Hits version for 15 bucks at a place called Replay's near my house. They get any game that came out since freakin' Pong and sell it for lower then 20 bucks brand new!! That's where I got most of my older games! :D Ha, ha, poor gamers........
