I know this is old news,I've tried other sites, most sites won.t even reply.I have no idea why.I'm hoping you fellow members can.The question I cannot get a definitive answer is this.

A lot of prisons have boxing matches.I think they do it to help prisoners to perhaps work off anger and maybe boost their confidence and getting a structured prison lifestyle.

What I want to know is,when Mike Tyson was in prison would he have been allowed to participate in these fights legally, due to the fact that on the outside,he was a professional and quite possibly kill his untrained adversary? I've tried asking someone in a Boxing forum, but I never get a reply,so I'm hoping you fine ladies and gentlemen can help,It's out of pure curiosity,Tyson is my all-time favorite boxer.

I remember hearing about that once, but I don't remember the conclusion.

I'm gonna go with... they didn't let him. If not for insurance reasons, or monetary reasons, than for the other prisoner's safety.
