What are your likes and dislikes when it comes to Forums' rules,layout,etc.

Is there anything in particular you like or dislike about Forums in general,such as rules,layout,content,etc.
 
I can't say I'm fond of the "wait 45 seconds rule before posting again" Really, now, Gamefaqs has a 30 second rule if you make 2 posts in a row,a dn it isn't spammed to hell and back,a nd I can freely type something the second I log in. I'm a fast typer, so it's really irritating that I have to wait.

What's worse, is that if the notification comes up to wait 45 seconds, I have to wait 45 seconds from THAT notification, insetad of the orriginal wait time.
 
45 seconds has never killed anyone. At least not on a forum. We've been spam attacked numerous times. Thank god it's here or the Mods would have a really tough time keeping up. Especially since we have so few active Mods in the first place.

With that aside, I'm happy about everything here. It's easy to use and everything's common sense.
 
The only thing i have a problem with on this forum is not being able to choose a avatar freely but then again there's a logical reason why they have it here so it's no big deal i just thort i would be truthful.

One thing i dont like about some other forums which wont be named is that they are to strong on the spelling rule when it comes to spelling for a person like me who can't spell to save his own life it's irritating.

But you can always request an avatar and we'll do our best to put it in the system. For those who aren't aware.
 
My problem with the 45 seconds thing is, it doesn't effect Mai, but Mai 45 seconds me ALL THE TIME.

No, it hasn't, but it's very irritating to me when I respond to someone, post it, and get slapped with 45 seconds, miscount by one second, get slapped with ANOTHER 45 seconds on top of the original, and wait some more, go back and find my old post needs to be retyped, etc.
 
I understand that...but I usually just listen to music or watch tv...or play a game to pass the time. When you're doing either of those, or even surfing another site, 45 seconds is nothing.
 
Yeah I'm usually in chat and on the forum at the same time, or otherwise multitasking, so it doesn't come up for me often. I do still get it sometimes, though, contrary to popular belief. ;) Like if I log in and then I try to reply to a PM, I get the 45 seconds message sometimes.

Why not try using your own "Spell Check" Button or Gadget on your Tool Bar if you use one.

I'm so sick of the 45 second rule, and it isn't helped by the fact that I know it's possible to make a member group exempt from it.
 
Mods lock Fun & Games topics because of them being "pointless"....when they are in the Fun & Games section. Worst rule I have ever heard.

Because all you do is raise your post count and people won't respect you for it. (Mai, thanks. :D)

Writing a number isn't remotely fun, nor an interesting game.

Hold it....worship?? I just said that because she said that and I thought it'd be a good time to use it. I'm not sure what crack you're smoking, but you need to get off it.
