Game Crahses

I have been able to play games on my PC for quite some time...now I seem to be having problems.

The thing is, I can play games just fine. But when I come to a certain point in a game, look at a certain part of a level, or view something graphically intensive, Windows crashes. It brings me to a blue screen and tells me that a .dll file has caused a problem, and Windows has been shut down for my security.

Any skilled hardware specialists out there willing to help?

It makes me angry, because it has never done this before. I update my drivers, and it still does it.

**** you, Intel!

:hh

honestly it sounds like a confliction of the installed game files themselves and your computer.

You could try a re-install

maybe something in the registry is trying to act differently then it's supposed to?

Something >.>

AMD ftw

Every game...do you play every game with a cd?

Your drive could be screwing up when it gets to reading a specific sector area on each cd. I know my psx did it. (completely different I know) but I had to loosen up the laser on the track.

You could always try defragging your hd. Sounds odd but it seems like when the games you're playing need to load a certain next portion of the games themselves it may have some hiccups and stutter while loading. This happened to me with doom 3 before i just extracted the game files into one large folder.

nothing wrong with my pc

but since this isnt in the pc forum, i am free to mention, my xbox 360 has crashed on oblivion, tony hawk, and gears of war

Ive had crashes with Gun, some Zelda games, Pokemon games, Oblivion, and Fire Emblem.
