Games to remember - Descent 1 and 2

I'm a big fan of Parallax's Descent 1 and 2. Descent 3 was ok... but we could HARDLY find a computer to run it 100% correct and free from bugs.

In the Descent series, you pilot a ship through caves and underground passages fighting enemies. The game consists of VERY fluid motion... so fluid, many PC pay-to-play businesses kept trash cans next to the PC's because some people would toss their cookies :lol

There were many weapons to use... and the lan modes were fantastic (even over modem). Grindspine and I played MANY MANY games of Descent over modem back in 1998 and 1999. Fun times!

Anyone else remember this game? Is so... post up your memories!

I have a brilliant idea.... I have 2 copies of win 98SE... 2 old P2 266Mhz computers (I believe fully functioning)... 2 copies of Descent 1 and 2... and I say we try this sometime!

I'm thinking this is a great idea... maybe sometime soon you can stop by and we can set both up!

Anyone else? post it up! I know more people had to play Descent 1 and 2.

Yes you do... WHERE did you find that and how did they make those games compatible with Windows Xp and Vista (32 AND 64 bit)?!
